Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing based strategies for responsible areas.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of sourcing initiatives end to end.
  • Create and develop strong working relationships with key internal and external partners.
  • Consistently create, present and implement process improvements within the organization.
  • Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends including analysis of market drivers, cost structures and technical improvements.
  • Support supplier initiatives including annual cost reductions, supplier consolidation, favorable business terms, etc.

 

Job Requirements

  • A degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management.  MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in sourcing environment. 
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to assume leadership roles.
  • Displays room presence and ability to influence executives.
  • Supply chain experience managing cross functional teams in a fast pace company.
  • Familiarity with world-class sourcing methods and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Fluent in English.
  • Exceptional ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to be innovative in issues related to strategic sourcing, supplier relations.
  • Strong analytical skills (i.e. cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection).
  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office Productivity applications required.

He has managed consulting projects for several Fortune 500 clients on three continents, including: Raytheon, IBM, Union Bank of California, H.J. Heinz, ConAgra, Eaton, Nestle, and Lucent Technologies. Mr. Flannery holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Northern Iowa and a Masters of Business Administration in Strategy from Indiana University.
