Key Responsibilities of Senior Manager IT Sourcing Position

  • Is solely responsible for the daily relationships with the functional teams (IT) and oversees and drives the end to end processes for any categories assigned
  • Accountable for the overall execution and management of developed strategies relating to sourcing and/or outsourcing
  • Identifies and creates spend management and sourcing strategies to realize cost savings
  • Ultimately responsible for keeping key stakeholders (namely IT business partners) in the loop with regard to project status by providing regular updates
  • Provide benchmarking of assigned commodities and use data to come together with functional teams (IT) regarding responsibilities of supplier contracts
  • Create and execute change management plans to support each commodity’s changes
  • Optimize results by leading critical thinking and contemplating new alternatives to push for the completion of numerous co-existing projects
  • At project inception, align with business partners (IT) on strategies and deliverables

Essential Qualifications and/or Requirements

  • Strategic Sourcing, Management Consulting and/or Commodity Management professional experience:  six to ten years
  • Experience assessing and executing outsourcing arrangements
  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines:  Finance, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
  • Demonstrated skills in financial and risk modeling
  • Proven aptitude with interpreting and utilizing crucial financial data
  • Proven ability to multitask and handle changing priorities
  • Strong sense of urgency; ability to remain results-focused and highly motivated
  • Ascertainable skills in blueprinting and guiding negotiations
  • Ascertainable experience in developing and managing contracts with suppliers and outsourcing agreements
  • Ability to travel as necessary to collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Strong skills relating to process excellence
  • Demonstrated computer skills, especially with MS Office, eProcurement software programs
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal skills
  • Proven aptitude in maintaining a professional demeanor when interacting with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization

Desired Qualifications

  • IT Sourcing experience (hardware and infrastructure)
  • MBA
  • CPM or CPIM certification
