While this role is based in the Eastern US, due to the extensive travel, the successful candidate can be based nearly anywhere east of the Mississippi River.

Key Responsibilities of Procurement Commodity Manager Position
- Holds cardinal responsibility to actualize client success against any and all contractual commitments in both the strategic and tactical aspects of the Facilities class level
- Establish and understand a project plan to fulfill the following:
- Category deliverables
- Cost reduction pledge
- Various milestones and obligations
- Take key role to convert in-house team developed procurement strategies into client specific initiatives
- Develop all client specific procurement strategy documents
- Develop sourcing strategy that delivers near-term cost savings as well as advances category modification over time
- Along with the Project Manager, provide guidance and leadership to Buyers.
- Maintains accountability for continuing category management tasks including delivering improved supplier performance and category compliance.
- Regularly communicate and negotiate with all levels of the organization – both client-side and supplier-side.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of our Client’s global strategy.
Essential Qualifications and/or Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strategic Sourcing Procurement experience: Two years or more
- Supply Chain Procurement experience: Three years or more
- IT and Telecommunications experience: One year or more
- Ability to travel 75 – 85% (domestic & international)
- Typical travel schedule is M-Th; Home F and Weekends
