Highlights of Director of IT Sourcing and Strategic Sourcing Position

The incumbent will join one of the world’s most respected global companies, recognized in the top 10 of their industry focus on Fortune Magazine’s Most Admired Companies for 2008.   This key role will lead a team of sourcing professionals in organizing and implementing national/regional contracting and procurement strategies and programs to increase operational efficiency and profitability of IT.  With high visibility, the role will also develop and implement innovative solutions via engagement of the supply base that drive overall business value.

Key Responsibilities of Director of IT Sourcing and Strategic Sourcing Position

• Deliver year over year total cost efficiencies for the IT spend under management
• Build and develop senior level business partnerships and drive sourcing value proposition with IT management both locally and globally
• Provide critical management support for global IT Sourcing projects in a complex, multi tiered, global business environment
• Manage and develop a group of highly motivated IT Sourcing professionals
• Lead a team of Sourcing professionals in organizing and implementing national/regional contracting and procurement strategies and programs to increase operational efficiency and profitability of IT
• Develop and implement innovative solutions via engagement of the supply base that drive overall business value
• Work with the Systems and Operations group to enable and implement process and systems that drive overall procurement efficiencies and improve compliance
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies for IT spend
• Coordinate and contribute to key global and cross sector initiatives. This includes working with Global Category Management to develop global strategies and plans.
• Manage global category manager projects as required to support global initiatives.

Qualifications and/or Requirements

• Demonstrated track record of leadership, client management and project management
• Minimum 5-10 years in procurement of IT Hardware, Software and Services supply or similar instances of education and experience
• Candidate must be self-confident, energetic, efficient, motivated and able to handle multiple projects at the same time
• Candidate must possess outstanding written and oral communication skills
• BA/BS or related discipline (technical preferred), and/or the equivalent
• CPM/MBA optional but preferred
• Demonstrated experience in contract administration, contract negotiation, quality assurance, and procurement management
• Significant experience in leading IT and Business Process Outsourcing efforts including supplier relationship management
