Highlights of the Purchasing Manager Position
The title of this role is Purchasing Manager and this person will be the Procurement Leader for the entire company tasked with developing and mentoring staff, identifying cost reductions, developing supplier relationships and expanding the vendor base, as well as working with internal groups like Operations & Quality to build efficiencies whenever possible. The right person will be adept at implementing policies, procedures and performance metrics to shape this into a more strategic Sourcing organization over time. Strong influencing skills will be required and highly valued in the role. This person will need to be collaborative and capable of building consensus as new initiatives are put into place.
