Responsibilities
- Negotiates the best possible price for commodities
- Research and secure new supply sources where vendors are inadequate; recommend awards based on review of RFPs
- Maintain vendor relationships
- Audit vendors to insure adherence to policies and contracts
- Control vendor performance
- Ability to maintain good relationships with vendors
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 5 years purchasing experience
- Intermediate MS office skills
