Highlights

This procurement role, Category Manager, will focus on supporting one of the company’s largest Business Units and be based in NW Ohio area. This person will be tasked with Sourcing a variety of Direct Spend commodities including various Chemicals, Metals as well as Capital Projects (CapEx) that are scheduled due to expansion. Knowledge of one or all of these areas would be valued.

 

This firm is currently undergoing a company-wide transformation to a more progressive Procurement organization, and this person will be tasked with continuing that transformation at the Business Unit level with a lot of interaction with the Corporate procurement group. This person will collaborate with manufacturing sites and set sourcing strategy at the Business Unit level and coordinate with Corporate procurement with an eye towards Continuous Improvement. Strong influencing skills will be required and highly valued in the role. This person will need to be collaborative and capable of working cross-functionally across various groups including Operations, Quality and Supply Chain. The career path beyond this role will provide the right person an opportunity to advance in a more progressive Procurement & Supply Chain organization as the company-wide transformation moves forward.
