Frequently Asked Questions
The Teldar Group guarantees three qualified candidates for a container search. What is considered a qualified candidate? Show ▼
A qualified candidate is generally someone that the hiring manager has interviewed and is considered worthy of a site interview.
What happens to the container fee if the we eliminate the position? Show ▼
If a client eliminates the position in the middle of our search, the Teldar Group keep the engagement fee. This is one of the reasons we employ engagement fees, to compensate us for our time if something happens that is beyond our control.
Why wouldn’t I use contingent search? That way, I don’t have any financial commitment. Isn’t that the best alternative? Show ▼
It’s true that contingent has no financial commitment from the client up front. It is also the least successful. For containers and retainers, the Teldar Group boast a success rate over 90%. Guess what the success rate is for contingent? About 12%. Why is that? Well, the client AND the Teldar Group have made no commitments. You haven’t agreed to put any skin in the game and we have not guaranteed any resources or results. It is also the reason that we rarely take on contingent searches anymore. Almost every search we do today is containers or retainers. The only way we accept a contingent search is when we have significant capacity which isn’t often.
If you seriously want a recruiter to fill a role for you, why wouldn’t you at least consider a container? Show ▼
It costs the same as a contingent except the timings of the payments are different (engagement fee upfront). It also comes with a guarantee. If we don’t deliver three qualified candidates, you get your money back. It is a win/win model that boasts a 90% success rate.
